Family Preparedness

Make a Plan

When disaster strikes, you may not necessarily be with your family. Therefore it’s important to make a plan in advance in order to communicate and congregate.

Make a Kit

A GO-BAG is something you pack today in hopes that you never have to use. Having certain items in a single place will help you to mobilize in case you must evacuate quickly. While this list is a good start, it may not be all-inclusive. You may also wish to keep some items in your vehicle. You should prepare one bag for each person in your family.

ITEMS FOR YOUR TO GO BAG INCLUDE:

  • Batteries
  • Whistle to signal for help
  • Dust mask
  • First Aid Kit
